What a fun and relaxing tour! Although our days (and nights) were full of activity and great company we truly felt rested upon arrival home which usually is not the case. The value here was unsurpassed, the group small, sights incredible food, well, I Don't think we have a word for how wonderful!! Kudos to Jane, Marco, Deb and Dave for hosting this amazing tour!

Pleasures of Umbria delivered what they promised and so much more. We got to experience the real Italy where things are as they should be. The cooking classes were amazing and we felt like one big happy family preparing a meal. The people in Umbria are so warm and real. Our tour managers (Jane & Luigi) went above and beyond for all of our guests and our tour guide Marco's extensive knowledge continued to amaze me. And we can't forget Paolo our driver who was so accomodating. We couldn't have asked for a better trip to the green heart of Italy! The scenery was breathtaking. Thank you Pleasures of Umbria....you blew us away!

Breathtaking, exciting and magical are only a few words that describe this tour of Umbria! The hospitality and insight of Jane, Luigi, Marco, Angelo, Pablo and all the merchants we met, made this a peaceful, safe and memorable experience. Grazie tante e Spello.

I just returned from our very first tour of the "Green Heart of Italia" with Jane, Deb and David. It was even more magnificent than I could have imagined...so well planned right from arriving in Roma...to our 5 night stay in Spello. So much history to absorb...Marco, our tour guide was so informative...such a delight. I really enjoyed seeing how life is lived in the smaller towns that we visited...everyone was so friendly and accommodating...cooking with the chefs...visiting the olive groves...seeing the processing of olive oil...seeing the vineyards...drinking the wine....eating in a cave. I've been many places but nothing can compare to the Umbrian area that we experienced. I must say Spello was my favorite place...a quaint small town with so much beauty...friendly people...wonderful restaurants...great wine and so much more. Spello, you've not seen the last of me! Of course then there's Todi...the beauty of this area...the scenery was incredible....the food superb....being amongst the vineyards and the lavender and fresh rosemary fields...I was in Heaven! I look forward to my next tour. Thank you Jane for this ingenious idea and to David and Deb for stepping out into this new venture...here's to many more tours in this beautiful country of Italia!

We had a marvelous time on the trip to Umbria. We certainly experienced the "green heart of Italy" just as promised. The transportation was 1st class as well as the hotel accommodations that were provided. The people of Spello are warm, welcoming and we felt like family immediately. We loved the tours to the wineries, olive oil mills and so fun at the cooking classes!! We learned how to make gnocchi and fresh eggplant ravioli from scratch. Can't wait to visit Spello again...it's calling my heart. Loved the fact the tours are small, you really get to know people and become friends. Umbria is a gem not quite yet discovered which makes it that much more appealing. Jane the tour manager went above and beyond providing information, suggestions and ideas. Marco the tour guide has a wealth of knowledge and is very passionate about his homeland. A presto Umbria!! (See you soon Umbria)

A fantastic tour! I have been to Italy several times before, but not Umbria. I loved the decreased tourstic feel of the area, the kindness of the people, and beauty of the countryside. Fabulous small group travel. Unique intimate cooking and dining experiences! All for a very reasonable price as well! Jane and Luigi were very conscientious and really looked out for everyone. It was a trip of a lifetime, and have wonderful memories!
